Every pitch deck, every launch and every demo follows the same script: automate your workflows, eliminate repetitive tasks and remove humans from the loop. It sounds impressive. And it completely misses the point. Automation is a means. It was never the end. The companies racing to automate everything with agents are solving yesterday's problem with tomorrow's technology — building toward a future nobody wants.
